"I called the office today with a concern regarding my address still not being updated since my last call with them on July 28th, and I received noticed from USPS that they will stop forwarding mail soon. Yes, I was stern when asking my questions, but Esther got extremely defensive, beating around the bush of why my address still had not been updated saying that it’s “weird that it didn’t change all addresses”. I pointed out her defensiveness and said that if she doesn’t want to talk to me, then send me to someone else who can. Esther went on and said “your tone girl”. I then explained that why should I (a paying customer) have to call to make sure my address has been updated when I already have received confirmation that it was, it’s frustrating being told one thing and it’s not even true. I thanked her for so called helping me and hung up the phone. I called another State Farm office asking if I could transfer to their office — I was told that I should call my current office back to request to switch agents. I called back my current office and Esther answered again, I informed Esther who I was and asked to switch to a new agent. Esther then gave me some excuse about needing to do it online. I informed her that I just spoke with another agent’s office and they mentioned that I could do it over the phone since it was a faster process. Esther then murmured something (couldn’t make out what she said) and said with an attitude “you know what Ashley I’ll transfer you out anytime” and laughed. Esther asked for the name of the agent that I’m transferring too, gave her the name, she again laughed and said “good luck” in a condescending tone and proceeded to hang up the phone. This is not the first annoying customer service interaction that I received from her. Rude customer service got worse once I called to cancel my renter’s insurance with them."
